Maureen Dowd was born in Washington, D.C. where she began her career as a journalist. Her first column was with the Washington Star, in sports reporting. 1995 was the year that she began Op-Ed columns for the New York Times. In her later years, she went on the win the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary. In 2014, Maureen began writing for the New Times Magazine. In addition to New York Times, she has also wrote for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stones, GQ, and many more.
